- March 1996: CommunityLink, a service of Craig Williams Creative, is founded in the small town of Pinckneyville, Illinois (population 5,407). The company operated out of a single room in Williams' home.
- January 1, 1997: Having outgrown its original headquarters, the company moves to a house on 201 East Ozburn Street in Pinckneyville.
- January 1998: CommunityLink debuts its Internet-based profiles and proposal request system; this innovation attacts high-profile clients from communities throughout the Midwest.
- 1998-2000: CommunityLink grows to 35 employees.
- July 10, 2000: CommunityLink moves into its brand-new, 15,000-square-foot contemporary headquarters on Holts Prairie Road in Pinckneyville.
- 2005: CommunityLink debuts its xMedia publishing system, a revolutionary publishing plan allowing clients to preview their finished product before purchasing and submitting ads online
- 2007: CommunityLink joins forces with the Arthur Agency, an award-winning marketing firm based in Carbondale, Illinois.
- 2008: Premiere of TownCast, a video production service that creates professionally produced video explorations of communities, featuring the voices and stories of residents.
- 2008: CommunityLink partners with Chamber Nation, a firm that offers chambers of commerce fully developed online systems.
