One of Kentucky Lake’s Best Known Recreation Facilities
Just minutes from Murray in a beautiful, secluded area, Resort features fishing, family fun

by Aaron W. Hughey

Need to get away — but not too far away — for a while?

America’s Paradise Resort on Kentucky Lake may be just what the doctor ordered.

“We’re located near Murray, Kentucky,” notes Mark Frederick, owner of America’s Paradise Resort. “We’re in a beautiful, secluded area of Kentucky Lake just north of Blood River.”

America’s Paradise Resort features pontoon, bass boat and regular fishing boat rentals, together with a boat ramp, covered slips and plenty of fuel. In short, everything a sportsman needs to enjoy the Kentucky Lake region.

“Our convenient launching ramp is located within walking distance of the cottages and condos,” Frederick observes. “And once in the water, there is no need to pull your boat out every day; we have covered boat slips available for rent.”

America’s Paradise Resort hosts several fishing tournaments each year, and for good reason.

“This area is famous for crappie, but there are lots of other kinds of fish here, too,” Frederick explains. “We have blue gill, largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, striped bass, sauger, rockfish and catfish.”

“Many fishermen consider Kentucky Lake to be the best fishing when compared with other man-made lakes,” Frederick continues. “Because it is built in the foot-hill country, Kentucky Lake gives 160,000 acres of fishable waters next to deep water, enabling fishermen to catch limits of fish on underwater ridges.”

“For the professional angler to the novice, spring and fall offer the very best in fishing,” Frederick observes. “Fishing continues throughout the summer with blue gill and stripes being the hottest species.”

But America’s Paradise Resort is not just for fishermen. It is also a wonderful place to bring the family.

“We feature everything you need for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation,” Frederick says. “Paradise Resort offers a wide variety of lakefront condominiums and cottages; we have something to suit everyone’s taste.”

The Resort features one to three bedroom cottages that can accommodate up to 14 people. They are equipped with cable TV, complete kitchens with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, cooking utensils, and silverware. They even supply bed linens.

“The newer lakefront cottages even feature whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and central heat and air conditioning,” Frederick says.
“When you’re not fishing or relaxing in one of our condos or cottages, you can enjoy our swimming pool and beach or play a game of tennis or badminton,” Frederick notes. “And our boat rentals are not just for fishing. Many people just like to cruise up and down Kentucky Lake.”

“We have a very nice playground area for the kids,” Frederick explains. “You can sit back under the shade trees and relax while the children - young and old alike - enjoy the playground equipment.”

“Also, our nearby picnic area has several barbecue grills and plenty of tables,” Frederick is quick to add.

“This area is known nationally for its great cuisine,” Frederick adds. “People come from all over just to enjoy the many restaurants in the region.”

In addition, America’s Paradise Resort has easy access to a first rate golf course and guided horseback riding trails in the Land between the Lakes.

“This really is an outdoor paradise right here in the heart of America,” Frederick concludes.
