The new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department is ready to handle your health care emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A full-service diagnostic imaging department at Jennie Stuart Medical Center is also available, whether you need an ultrasound, a CT scan or an x-ray. Jennie Stuart also has a same-day surgery unit, a rehabilitation clinic and outpatient education. There is a 12-bed intensive care unit, a six-bed critical care unit, an eight-bed progressive care or step-down unit, a 29-bed medical unit providing comprehensive medical care, and a 22-bed surgical unit. In addition, an overflow unit of 10 to 20 beds may be used by surgical or medical patients.

The Medical Center at Bowling Green has been serving patients for over 76 years. In 2001 the Medical Center began a three-year, $30 million renovation and expansion project that will double the number of operating rooms, improve access to the hospital, and enlarge the emergency department and diagnostic services. The new emergency room and new surgery department are now open to serve the region. The Medical Center offers the only open-heart surgery program in the southcentral and southwestern regions of Kentucky. The program is led by cardiovascular surgeons Dr. Randy Carter and Dr. Paul Moore. Doctors Carter and Moore are highly trained surgeons who come to The Medical Center from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. The Medical Center also offers a vascular surgery program. For over 76 years, The Medical Center has provided quality obstetric care. Since 1926, more than 75,000 babies have been born at The Medical Center.

Clarksville, Tenn. is home to Gateway Health Systems. The medical center is a fully accredited 206-bed facility ready to handle any health care needs you may have. State-of-the-art services include a cancer center, heart center, surgery, critical care, respiratory care and MRI. You can rest assured that you will get the best care possible at Gateway Health Systems.

There is also a psychiatric hospital in Hopkinsville. Western States Hospital can help meet inpatient and outpatient psychiatric needs for the area. A caring staff will go the extra mile in helping your loved one get the care they need at this important time.
