with such amenities as baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and
swimming pools. If attending sports events is more to your
liking, be sure to catch a game of the St. Joseph Saints,
the hometown baseball team. Or stop in at one of St. Joes
13 museums featuring displays relating to everything from
the Old West to fine art.

parks connected by a 26 mile parkway system. Recreational

St. Joseph Civic Arena
Downtown Conference Center - The contemporary design
of the Civic Arena includes flexible seating which accommodates
any type of event. With superb acoustics and lighting plus
a clear view of activities from all locations, it can honestly
be said, "There's not a bad seat in the house."
The arena boasts 19,000 sq. ft. providing unobstructed exhibit
space or performing surface along with seating for 2300 people.
A total of 40,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space is available.
St. Joseph Family YMCA
Day pass rates include use of: indoor swimming pool, four
racquetball courts, two basketball courts, indoor running
track, nautilus equipment, universal equipment, free weights,
FitLinxx system, aerobics classes, treadmills, lifecycles,
stairmasters, men's and women's locker rooms and showers.
YWCA
A small fee includes recreational indoor swimming and water
exercise classes in a state-of-the-art facility, daily aerobics
and step classes . Gymnasium is for rent on an hourly basis
for basketball and volleyball games.
St. Joseph Saints
Phil Welch Stadium is home to the St. Joseph Saints, a team
which played its first season in 1996. Voted the "Most
Popular Team" by the National Baseball Congress, the
Saints also captured 4th place in the NBC World Series and
held the record for "Greatest Attendance" out of
42 teams.
Missouri Department of Conservation
Exhibits with a Conservation theme and a short nature trail.
Volkswalk
The Missouri Riverbluff Ramblers, St. Joseph Museum and St.
Joseph Family YMCA sponsor daily Volkswalks from January 2
- December 30. The 10K/6.2 mile route winds through historic
St. Joseph.
St. Jo Frontier Casino
