With easy access from Northern Allegheny County to downtown
Pittsburgh, new families, businesses and ideas are springing
up everywhere you turn. Pittsburgh can easily be accessed
within 30 minutes from any part of the area by the favorable
highway systems.
Major roadways I-79, I-279 Routes 8, 19, 28 and the Pennsylvania
Turnpike I-76 are some of the reasons for the ease and convenience
of accessibility of Pittsburgh to Northern Allegheny County.
The North Hills remains one of the easiest suburbs from which
to commute to downtown Pittsburgh, whether by carpools on
the HOV lanes or by the Port Authority Transit (PAT) bus.
PAT has many routes throughout the area, including the new
availability of transportation from the northern most suburbs
of Wexford and Warrendale. PAT also offers a TYY line for
the hearing-impaired and a para-transit service, called Access,
for their elderly and physically challenged riders.
Pittsburgh International Airport is one of the largest, newest
and most frequently used airports in the country. Recently

To, the airport boasts over 50 stores and boutiques,
40 restaurants and three banks from which to choose. Located
on Route 60, the airport is less than 30 miles from any point
in the Northern Allegheny County area. The airport, home to
USAirways, is a major hub of domestic and international travel.
