the Texas Department of Transportation, completed a $1.2 million Main
Street Enhancement Project. The project provided new full-width brick
sidewalks, decorative street and pedestrian light fixtures, ornamental
trees and a visitors center restroom facility — all to enhance
an already healthy downtown shopping sector. Funded through the Texas
Statewide Enhancement Program, the City of Perryton and local merchants,
the project adds even more enjoyment to the downtown shopping experience.
