The Perryton Ministerial Alliance is an association
of ministers and churches working together to make the community of
Perryton a better place to live. Together they work to unify the community
through service, prayer and education. Each year the Ministerial Alliance
works to bring the community together through a number of services.
The annual Thanksgiving Service is a praise and worship musical production
featuring a combined choir of participating churches. There is also
a National Day of Prayer Service, an Easter Sunrise Service and a once-a-month
Sunday evening celebration of praise service during the summer months
of June, July and August.
A charitable organization, the Alliance Food Pantry, distributes food
to families in need throughout the year. A special food basket is given
during the Christmas holidays.
Just outside Perryton in Waka is the Waka Christian Center. The Center
is a non-denominational Christian conference center providing space
for family reunions, youth meetings, Walks to Emmaus, gospel sings and
various other meetings. The Waka Christian Center was the result of
a community coming together to make things better. The Waka Christian
Center is fully contained, with overnight accommodations, a full-sized
kitchen, a chapel and a full-sized gymnasium. Through volunteers and
donations, the building is now used to unite, inspire, challenge and
equip members with the Christian knowledge needed in their homes, churches
and communities.
Through the different congregations, church services, the Waka Christian
Center and other worship opportunities, the members of the Ochiltree
County community have their spiritual needs met on a daily basis. Come
join the spirit of the community and worship with us.
