Quality
instruction in a safe, comfortable atmosphere is a reality in
the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area. Improving educational opportunities
is the mission of the many dedicated professionals working in
our schools.
Children get a great start from the many daycare facilities
and excellent preschool programs in the area and continue to
receive the instruction and assistance they need in both public
and private school settings. Continuing education in a major-university
setting is also possible, with the two-year University of Wisconsin
campus in Manitowoc and Silver Lake College offering a four-year
program.
Silver Lake College
offers a variety of educational options, including more than
two dozen undergraduate majors in the arts, sciences and professional
degree fields. Our dedicated faculty provide the personalized
education that has distinguished Silver Lake College for more
than 60 years. Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian
Charity, the college is committed to helping you live up to
your potential.
The University
of Wisconsin-Manitowoc is one of the 13 freshman-sophomore
campuses in the University of Wisconsin system. Accredited by
the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, UW-Manitowoc
is a liberal arts institution that provides quality education
for the lowest tuition in the UW system. Students may earn an
Associate of Arts and Science degree and/or transfer to a bachelor
degree-granting university to continue their education.
For the convenience of all students, fall and spring classes
are offered during the days and evenings, and summer session
courses begin after 5 pm.
UW-Manitowoc's campus consists of East and West Hall. East Hall
was built in 1962 on 40 beautiful acres along the shore of Lake
Michigan. In 1986 West Hall was added, doubling the size of
the facility. UW-Manitowoc provides a variety of cultural and
sports programs to students and the community.
There's so much to know about Lakeshore
Technical College, it's almost easier to tell you what
we don't do. We don't force you to take courses when it's inconvenient.
We don't lock you into a 4-year commitment. And we don't limit
your options once you're enrolled.
What
we do is so much more. We offer incredibly rich and varied curricula,
with links to technical colleges across Wisconsin. We offer
on-the-job training, high-tech courses, flexible classes, and
hours that fit your life. Our credits are transferable, in case
your quest for knowledge leads you elsewhere. And much, much
more.
Employers will be excited to know that LTC also offers training
for employees who need to freshen up their job skills. We can
come to any business and provide customized, on-site training
to make your employees' skill sets current. We can host OSHA
seminars at our specially designed facility. Or we can simply
open our doors to let your employees train in our computer labs
to learn the latest versions of Microsoft Office. When it comes
to learning, LTC makes it easy.
You don't have to go far to learn what you need to get ahead.
