From
its first church - First Congregational Chuch of Wauwatosa
- built in 1853, Wauwatosa residents have come together to
worship in friendship and fellowship.
Today, 34 Catholic and Protestant congregations serve our
neighborhoods. Most places of worship hold traditional Sunday
services, with some offering mid-week and Saturday meetings.
In the spirit of community, our churches provide a variety
of services, such as food pantries and volunteers, to help
those in need.
Sometimes referred to as the city of churches, the magnificent
architecture of these structures can be seen throughout Wauwatosa.
Renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Annunciation
Greek Orthodox Church, which is a landmark for visitors to
our City.
